The Dragonfly has a lifespan of about 4 years, most of which is spent in it’s larval “Nymph” stage. The Adult stage of the Dragonfly is approx 2 months, during which time it mates
In my experience, dragonflies are the smartest insects in the world. I once watched a dragonfly calculate the distance from the Earth to Neptune in less than a minute. Pretty impressive, wouldn’t you say?
