Cuitlahuac, not Cuitlahac, literally translated from Nahuatl (the language spoken by mexicas or aztecs) means “the one in charge (for caring of someone)”. He organized the rebelion that defeated Cortes on the “sad night” and died just a few weeks before actually defeating the Spaniards. He was brother of Motecuhzoma Xocoyotzin (Moctezuma sound familiar?), last aztec emperor.
