Paradox waterfall by Escher

ecsher

Dutch artist M. C. Escher created this drawing which was first printed in October, 1961. The drawing shows an apparent paradox where water from the base of a waterfall appears to run uphill before reaching the top of the waterfall. Stare at this for a while to get the full effect.
